Risk Operations Manager at Urbint

Amy Marquardt has a long and varied work experience. Amy is currently a Risk Operations Manager at Urbint, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Managing Scientist and Senior Scientist at Exponent from 2017 to 2022. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland and a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the Smithsonian Institution. In 2015, they were an Entrepreneurial Lead at the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps, where they investigated the feasibility of forming a small business start-up to commercialize ALD coatings for cultural heritage applications. Amy also held a position as a Visiting Researcher at the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK-irst) from 2013 to 2014 and as a Volunteer in Preservation Research Testing Division at the Library of Congress from 2011 to 2012. Amy began their career in 2010 as an Intern at the Smithsonian Institution.

Amy Marquardt received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from Coe College in 2009, and their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2015.
