Ryan Urgo

As regional director, Ryan oversees operations of a select group of Urgo hotels in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. He brings to his position extensive sales and operational experience at both full- and select-service hotels.

Ryan previously was general manager of two Urgo-operated hotels in Rockville, Maryland—the 112-room full-service Hilton Garden Inn and 87-room extended-stay Homewood Suites. Under his leadership, both hotels outperformed competitors in RevPAR and market penetration growth. He has also served as general manager of Fairfield Inn & Suites Washington, DC Downtown and Hampton Inn & Suites Baltimore Inner Harbor.

Ryan built his early hospitality career in a series of managerial roles at Marriott and Hilton-branded hotels, including San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina. He has also worked in commercial real estate, facilitating multi-million-dollar lease transactions in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

During his tenure in Rockville, Ryan was elected to the board of directors for Visit Montgomery, the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Montgomery County, Maryland. He and his wife are heavily involved in the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County, DSNMC Buddy Walk, and Catholic Coalition for Special Education.
