Blair Townsend, MD, MBA, currently serves as a Urologic Surgeon at Urology Specialists of the Carolinas and holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Blair Townsend is also an active Dive and Undersea Medical Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve and previously fulfilled the role of Battalion Surgeon in the United States Marine Corps. Previous experience includes a fellowship in Robotic Urologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Southern California and residency in Urologic Surgery at Atrium Health. Blair Townsend's military medical career began with various roles in the U.S. Navy, including Department Head of Undersea Medicine. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and an MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, alongside Bachelor's degrees in Management & Marketing and Pre-Medicine from the University of Virginia.
