David is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of URSA, Inc. where he leads the development and strategy of the company.
He founded the practice of UAV forensics in 2015 and is one of the leading practitioners in the country. David has worked in digital forensics and cyber security since the mid 90’s and, prior to founding URSA, led EY’s U.S. incident response program.
David is the Advocacy Director for the National Association of Search and Rescue where he writes UAV policy papers and develops presentations on UAVs in search and rescue for various audiences and is working on SAR UAV standards for ASTM. He is a private pilot for fixed wing and rotorcraft and also holds a Part 107 Commercial certificate for UAV operations.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Dartmouth and a master’s degree in international affairs from the Fletcher School at Tufts.
