Raymundo Muro-Barrios

Raymundo Muro-Barrios is a Test Engineer at Ursa Major since January 2022, previously working as a Development Test Associate Engineer at SpaceX, where contributions included structural testing for the Starship QD Arm and analysis of flight and test loads. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additional experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, conducting research on the fracture of ductile metals as a Graduate Research Assistant, interning at GE Research focusing on machine learning in materials engineering, and optimizing product development as an R&D Intern at 3M. Raymundo also participated as a Summer Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University, engaging in projects aimed at enhancing safety through destruction analysis.
