David Valdez

David Valdez is an accomplished leader in strategic analysis, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Analysis at Ursa Space Systems since February 2025. Previously, Valdez held the position of Director of Product at ICEYE, where responsibilities included strategic leadership and advanced geospatial technologies. Extensive experience includes roles at Lockheed Martin as an Automation and AI Engineer, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, where Valdez managed a diverse team focused on machine learning and large-scale GEOINT data processing. Valdez has a solid background in systems engineering from educational institutions such as the University of Denver and the University of Maryland Global Campus, alongside training from the Defense Acquisition University. Current qualifications include a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph.
