Tonny Kidega

Tonny Kidega is a seasoned professional in the dairy and veterinary sectors, currently serving as Regional Manager at URUS Group since May 2022 and as Managing Director at Gulu Uganda Country Dairy Limited since January 2012. Kidega has a strong focus on enhancing dairy quality and nutrition in Uganda through initiatives aimed at knowledge transfer. Prior experience includes roles as Dairy Project Manager at Partners Worldwide Inc., where Kidega implemented sustainable dairy partnerships, and as a Veterinary Extension Worker at Heifer International. Earlier work also involved monitoring wild chimpanzee health as Veterinarian/Conservation Coordinator at Budongo Conservation Field Station. Kidega holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from Makerere University and has obtained certificates in Veterinary Preventive Medicine and Agriculture from SLU and the University of Reading, respectively.
