Shams Zahan

Chief Of Safety at US-Bangla Airlines Ltd.

Shams Zahan is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in both commercial and military sectors. Currently serving as Chief of Safety at US-Bangla Airlines Ltd. since April 2016, Shams has held multiple roles including Captain of the Boeing 737-800 and Fleet Chief for the Dash 8 Q400. Prior to this, Shams worked as a First Officer at NOVOAIR and as an Instructor Pilot at Bangladesh Flying Academy. Shams' military career includes a tenure as Squadron Leader in the Bangladesh Air Force, alongside positions such as Flight Commander at the Flying Instructors’ School and Deputy Chief Military Aviation Officer for the United Nations. Education includes an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Dhaka, a B.Sc. in Aeronautics from the Bangladesh Air Force Academy, and secondary education from Dhaka Residential Model School and Engineering University School.
