Melanie Thomas

Melanie Thomas has extensive experience in the soccer industry, with their most recent position being the Head Soccer Coach at Sting Soccer Organization since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the USSF A License Head Soccer Coach at US Club Soccer starting in 2021. From 2021 to 2022, they also held the roles of Head Coach and Futsal Coordinator at Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club. Before that, they were the Professional Head Coach and Girls Youth Director of Coaching at Los Angeles Surf from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, they served as the USSF A License DPL Head Coach and Girls Youth Director of Coaching at LA Surf SC in the same time period. In 2019, they briefly worked as the USSF B Licensed Head Coach and Professional Head Coach and Girls Youth Director of Coaching at Los Angeles Premier FC. Prior to that, they spent several years at ISC Gunners as the Professional Head Coach and Recreation Program Co-Coordinator. Melanie also had experience as a Youth Academy Coach at Rio Rapids Soccer Club, Assistant Head Coach, and Interim Head Coach at Iowa Western Community College, and as the Director of Operations at UNM Women's Soccer.

Melanie Thomas holds a Master of Science in Sports Administration from The University of New Mexico. Melanie also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the same institution. In addition, they have obtained a certification in USSF National A Youth from the U.S. Soccer Federation in November 2020.
