Aishah Trahan currently serves as a Graduate Student Member at the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) since August 2022, contributing to advancements in solid waste management and resource management through education and research. Aishah has been a general member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated since March 2019, promoting scholastic and ethical standards among college women. A tenure as an Environmental Scientist I with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality from March to September 2023 involved the application of local, state, and federal regulations in environmental protection. As an Engineering Technician for the City/Parish of Baton Rouge from October 2022 to March 2023, Aishah coordinated various surveys and provided construction guidance. Previous experience includes roles as a Teacher Assistant and Water Based Epidemiology Researcher at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, along with a solid academic background that includes a Master of Public Health from LSU Health Shreveport and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
