Jason Garelick is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in environmental law and criminal enforcement. Currently serving as Regional Criminal Enforcement Counsel at the US Environmental Protection Agency since March 2016, Garelick has held significant roles throughout a distinguished career, including Special Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorneys' Offices from April 2019 to January 2024, and Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice from November 2013 to March 2016. Previous experience includes positions as Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York, and Assistant District Attorney at the Office of the District Attorney of Queens County. Garelick earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Binghamton University.
