Kate Saili

Kate Saili serves as the Associate National Program Director for Scientific Coordination, Outreach and Communication at the US Environmental Protection Agency, focusing on the Chemical Safety for Sustainability National Research Program since July 2016. Prior experience includes roles as a regulatory toxicologist within the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards and postdoctoral research utilizing new approach methodologies to assess children's environmental health. Kate's academic background encompasses a PhD in Toxicology from Oregon State University, where research centered on neurobehavioral effects of bisphenol A in embryonic zebrafish. Additional experience includes consulting on ballast water treatment systems, editing scientific documents, and various roles in wildlife biology, including sea turtle conservation and research on avian malaria in Hawaii.
