Katherine Dawes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program evaluation and environmental policy. Currently serving as an Evaluation Officer at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since March 2018, Katherine also holds the position of Acting Evaluation Officer and previously worked as a Senior Analyst in the Office of Land and Emergency Management. Katherine is an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University's Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and has been an active member of the American Evaluation Association since 2002, contributing to its Environmental Policy Task Force from 2007 to 2015. Katherine co-founded the Environmental Evaluators Network and has been a leader within the organization since 2006. Previously, Katherine held various roles at the EPA from 1990 to 2017, including Director of the Evaluation Support Division, and has served on the boards of Two Rivers Public Charter School and the Environmental Leadership Program. Katherine holds multiple degrees from Syracuse University, Dartmouth College, and Carnegie Mellon University, with a focus on public administration and environmental policy.
