Mark Smith

Mark Smith currently serves as Branch Chief at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and has held the position of Deputy Regional Administrator for USEPA Region 8. Prior roles include Director of the Land, Chemicals, & Redevelopment Division, where responsibilities encompassed implementing key environmental laws such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and managing hazardous waste programs. Additionally, Mark held the position of Director for the Air & Waste Management Division and served as a Senior Advisor & Air Quality Planning Manager at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. Mark Smith earned a degree from The University of Kansas between 1988 and 1992.
