Rebecca Nachman is an accomplished Epidemiologist at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since December 2016. Previously, Rebecca served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, focusing on epidemiologic research related to fetal origins of disease, air pollution, preterm birth, and childhood health issues. As a Doctoral Student at the same institution, research efforts centered on the neonatal metabolism of bisphenol A using urine biomarkers from mother-infant pairs. Additional experiences include a fellowship at UCSF’s Reach the Decision Makers Training Program, an internship with the EPA evaluating human health risks from environmental hazards, and a research assistant role at the Risk Sciences and Public Policy Institute. Rebecca holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Air Pollution Exposure and Health from Johns Hopkins, along with a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Geneseo.
