Mike Auten

Mike Auten is currently a medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with an expected graduation in May 2026. Auten has diverse experience in military and academic settings, serving as a Foreign Area Officer (Reserve) in the US Navy and as a Marine Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where roles included Communications Strategy and Operations Officer, and Foreign Area Officer for Eurasia. In addition, Auten has held positions such as Defense Council at the Truman National Security Project and Fulbright Alumni Ambassador. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Business and Financial Economics from the Kyiv School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Russian Language from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Auten participated in the Fulbright Program in Ukraine and completed a summer internship at In-Q-Tel.
