Katie Anderson has a diverse range of work experience across multiple industries. Katie started their career as an Environmental Science Graduate at the University of Alabama in 2006 and worked there until 2010. During this time, they also interned at the Cold Climate Housing Research Center and the Geological Survey of Alabama. In 2010, they volunteered as a Science Presenter at The Franklin Institute.
From 2011 to 2014, Katie held various positions at different organizations. Katie worked as a Development Department Staff member at The Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center and interned as a Conservation Data Manager at The Nature Conservancy.
Since 2013, Katie has been associated with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, where they initially held the position of Crew Trainer and then became an Assistant Manager of Museum Operations. Over time, they progressed to become Manager, Director, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Museum Operations.
