Zach Colston

Zach Colston has a diverse work experience in the sports and events industry. Zach started their career as Director of Events at the Junior Volleyball Association, where they oversaw the growth and development of the Events Department. Zach successfully increased the number of events and participation, as well as revenue generated. During their time, they organized large-scale events in various cities and collaborated with CVBs and Sports Commissions.

Following their role at the Junior Volleyball Association, Zach joined Advanced Sports Media Group as Vice President, Events. Zach was responsible for overseeing the operations and execution of multiple sports events, including volleyball, softball, soccer, wrestling, and pickleball. Zach introduced pickleball to their offerings and established a successful event series.

Later, Zach joined Triple Crown Sports as the Director of Events. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they played a crucial role in creating new events, such as the West Coast Invitational and the upcoming East Coast Invitational, while maintaining long-term partnerships with cities. Zach also successfully executed the transition in event leadership for the volleyball division. Under their leadership, the National Invitational Tournament grew significantly, both in teams and profitability.

Most recently, Zach joined Prep Network as the Director of Strategy & Business Development.

Zach Colston began their education journey at Miami University in 2007, where they pursued a field of study in Kinesiology. After completing their studies, it appears that they furthered their education at The Ohio State University from 2008 to 2010. During this time, they focused on Sports Management within the Sport & Leisure Studies department. In 2019, Zach took part in the Sports Industry Essentials Program at Columbia University, where they gained valuable knowledge about the sports industry. Presently, they are engaged in the Leading Innovation Program at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, which they started in 2021. Although specific degrees are not mentioned, Zach Colston has been actively expanding their expertise in various aspects of sports and business through these educational experiences.
