Jeff Huber has a diverse work experience in the field of diving. Jeff started their career as the Head Diving Coach at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1978 and held the position until 1989. Jeff then joined Indiana University Bloomington, where they served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor from 1989 to 1995, Head Diving Coach from 1989 to 2013, and finally as a Professor of Practice from 2013 to 2018. In 2017, they took on the role of Director of Education at USA Diving.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Jeff Huber pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from California State University, Fullerton. This degree was awarded to him in the years 1975 to 1978.
Continuing their education, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which they earned between 1978 and 1981.
Lastly, Jeff Huber completed their highest level of education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they studied from 1982 to 1989.
