Ian Rodgers

Ian Rodgers is the Director of Innovative Partnerships & Strategy at USA for UNCHR. Ian has a long history of working in the humanitarian and development sector, including a previous position as the Director of the Emergency Response Unit at International Medical Corps. In that role, they oversaw program budget and employees across multiple countries and was responsible for leading the organization's response to medical emergencies. Ian has also worked with corporate partners to leverage their resources, skills and people to solve complex humanitarian and development challenges.

Rodgers is an expert in integrating business services into humanitarian response strategies. Ian has successfully integrated FedEx business services into the overall humanitarian response strategy, including warehouse usage, software, packaging labs and air cargo. Ian has also redesigned and expanded mobile surgical hospital units to cover a wider array of medical emergency responses globally. In addition, they have increased spending opportunities by utilizing 200% private sector increase over one year through identifying new opportunities for partnerships with corporate and foundation donors.

Rodgers is also experienced in managing volunteers and staff. Ian has revamped the external roster of volunteers and corporate staff to include an increased number of people for deployments to the field. Ian has also restructured the emergency response model to align with ambitious agency programmatic and financial goals. In addition, they have led and managed field emergency response teams in Dominica, Barbados, and Puerto Rico.

Ian Rodgers has a Masters in International and Community Development from Deakin University, as well as a BA in International Relations from the same school.
