Kjrsten Abel Ruch

Coach Educator at USA Rugby

Kjrsten Abel Ruch, MA., CVA, serves as the AmeriCorps Program Director and Community Engagement Specialist at the Center for Supportive Communities since August 2023. Kjrsten holds leadership positions in multiple organizations, including Governance Committee Chair for the USA Rugby Senior Club Council, and is a member of the Douglas County Kansas Free Fairboard. Kjrsten has extensive experience with USA Rugby, including roles as U20 Women's Manager, Coach Educator, and Congress Member, in addition to managing the D1/D2 Women's Club All-Star team. Kjrsten has been involved with the Heart of America Rugby Football Union as President and Vice President and has coached both the University of Kansas Women's Rugby Football Club and the Kansas Women's Rugby Club. Kjrsten’s previous role as Director of Community Engagement for the United Way of Kaw Valley focused on volunteerism and community impact. Kjrsten earned a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Leadership and Management from Baker University and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Truman State University.
