Christopher Brearton is an accomplished executive in the entertainment industry with a diverse background in law, accounting, and corporate strategy. Currently serving as a Partner at AGBO since April 2024 and the Chairman of USA Swimming since January 2022, Brearton previously held the role of Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Prime Video & Amazon Studios from March 2022 to April 2024. Notably, Brearton was Chief Operating Officer at MGM from February 2018 to March 2022, where oversight of global business operations and strategic growth initiatives was emphasized. Brearton's earlier tenure includes leadership positions at Latham & Watkins as Partner in the Entertainment, Sports and Media Practice, and at O'Melveny & Myers LLP as Managing Partner and Attorney. Brearton holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting from the University of Georgia.

As the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the United States, USA Swimming is a 400,000-member service organization that promotes the culture of swimming by creating opportunities for swimmers and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in the sport through clubs, events and education. Our membership is comprised of swimmers from the age group level to the Olympic Team, as well as coaches and volunteers. USA Swimming is responsible for selecting and training teams for international competitions including the Olympic Games and strives to serve the sport through its core objectives.
