Austin Bogues

Austin Bogues is an experienced journalist and educator currently serving as the Assistant Washington Editor for USA TODAY since September 2021, focusing on politics and breaking news. In addition to this role, Austin serves as Commentary Editor on the editorial board, enhancing public understanding through original commentary pieces. Austin holds the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, teaching Op-Ed Writing, and has been a Journalism Instructor at Harvard Summer School since June 2021. Previous experience includes reporting for Asbury Park Press, Daily Press, and Virginia Gazette, covering diverse topics such as local politics and race relations, along with a fellowship at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard.
