Ian O'Brien has extensive work experience in coaching and leadership roles in the field of triathlon and cycling. Ian OBrien Coaching - is the owner and head coach of ORIGIN Performance, a coaching organization focused on athlete development and performance outcomes. Ian has achieved remarkable success in their coaching career, with numerous Olympic Games, World Championship, and Grand Final medals. Ian OBrien Coaching - has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the 2021 USAT Olympic Coach of the Year and the 2018 USAT Elite National Coach of the Year. Ian has also served as a coach for the USA Triathlon National Team and has been involved in various roles with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. Prior to their coaching career, Ian had a background in the British Army and British Cycling, where they exhibited strong leadership skills and nurtured athletes to excel at different levels.
