Ameesh Vakaria

Ameesh Vakharia serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Brand Officer at USAA since June 2021, contributing to multiple leadership roles across strategy, marketing, and corporate responsibility. In addition, Ameesh holds chairmanship positions at both THE USAA FOUNDATION INC and USAA Educational Foundation since January 2022. Prior to USAA, Ameesh was the Executive Vice President at Truist, leading a vast team overseeing various retail products and client engagement strategies, and held multiple senior roles at SunTrust, focusing on deposit solutions and omni-channel strategies. Ameesh has also gained valuable experience as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where advisory work concentrated on financial services. Educational credentials include an MSc in International Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School.
