Desiree McElroy

Desiree (Romero) McElroy has a diverse background in data science and intelligence analysis, with experience spanning over a decade. Starting as a Patient Administration Clerk at the United States Department of Defense and later serving as an Office Clerk at HealthCare Resolution Services, Inc., Desiree transitioned into language analysis as a Chinese Language Analyst with the US Navy and Chenega Corporation, supporting various counterintelligence and law enforcement operations. Desiree has also excelled as a Data Scientist at BigBear.ai and Booz Allen Hamilton, where expertise in Python, deep learning, and data manipulation techniques was utilized to enhance computer vision models and classification accuracy. Currently, Desiree is a Data Scientist II at USAA while pursuing a Master of Science in Data Analytics at Western Governors University, building on a strong educational foundation that includes a BA in Natural Science & Mathematics from Indiana University East and a Certificate in Data Science from Codeup.
