Michelle Carter

Michelle Carter is the Assistant Vice President of IT Service Management at USAA, where they oversee various aspects of IT business services, including IT Change and Release Management, as well as Compliance & Regulatory Support. Michelle joined USAA in May 2020 after accumulating over 18 years of experience in internal audit within government and financial services. Prior to joining USAA, they served as an Information Security Manager at Wells Fargo, leading a team of over 30 professionals in risk assessment and management. Michelle began their career in the United States Air Force's Cyberspace Division, managing audits related to Cyber Security and Communications Programs. They hold an MBA in Information Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Wright State University, and are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).
