Kathy Bungard

Kathy Bungard has an extensive work experience in software development and web development. Kathy has held various positions throughout their career, starting as a Developer at World Internet Marketing in 1995. Kathy then worked as a Web Developer at Telovations from 1996 to 1998 and as a Web Developer at Expanets from 1998 to 2001. Kathy then transitioned to a Senior Programmer role at Space Gateway Support from 2001 to 2005. Kathy joined GTE Federal Credit Union in 2005 as a Senior Web Developer, where they worked until 2009. Since 2009, Kathy has been with USAble Life, where they have held multiple roles including Lead Developer, Software Development Supervisor, Software Development Manager, and currently, as the Director of Software Development. Kathy has a strong background in managing and creating web software experiences, working with a talented group of engineers and designers to develop self-service and digital experiences for life, disability, and dental insurance for multiple brands under Blue Cross Blue Shield Entities. Kathy is experienced in cloud and on-prem business solutions, managing multiple source control platforms, security tools, audit information, continuous deployments, automation to CRM, and website content management.

Kathy Bungard has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Science from Everest University-Tampa. Kathy attended this university from 2002 to 2009. Prior to that, Kathy earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Computer Science from St. Petersburg College, where they studied from 1994 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Kathy has obtained several certifications. Kathy became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) twice, first in September 2022 and then again in October 2022. Kathy also holds a Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification, obtained in January 2019. Furthermore, Kathy has completed the Azure Fundamentals certification offered by Microsoft, although the specific date of completion is not provided.
