Hector Rivera, MS, MPM, is an experienced project manager specializing in clinical trials at the Doheny Eye Institute, where responsibilities include monitoring clinical trial projects, ensuring timely billing, and resolving workflow issues. As Associate Vice President of Strategy for the Project Management Institute - Los Angeles Chapter, Hector provides guidance to the Strategy team and assists in managing the strategic planning committee, while previously serving as PMO Director and PMO Manager, where contributions included developing PMO documentation, optimizing team performance, and standardizing procedures. With a background as a Senior Research Associate at City of Hope, Hector managed a DNA sequencing core lab and contributed to significant research leading to publications.
