Peng Shang

Peng Shang currently serves as a Scientist at Doheny Eye Institute since June 2022. Prior to this role, Peng Shang worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from October 2017 to June 2022, focusing on the regulation of phosphoinositide metabolism and the epithelial to mesenchymal transition in retinal pigment epithelium cells. Prior to that, Peng Shang was a Trainee at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from September 2014 to September 2017. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tongji University (2010-2017), a micro-credential in Leading People in Organization from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business (September 2021 - April 2022), and a Bachelor's degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Hunan University of Science and Technology (2006-2010).
