Melissa Russo, CFRE, has extensive work experience in the museum field and financial administration. Melissa is currently serving as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer at the USCAP - United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. Before that, Melissa held the position of Accreditation Commissioner at the American Alliance of Museums, where they played a crucial role in making independent decisions regarding accredited status. Prior to that, they served as the Director of the San Bernardino County Museum and the Director of Institutional Advancement at the Chabot Space & Science Center. Melissa also has experience in executive leadership as the Executive Director of the Western Museums Association. In addition, they have served as an Adjunct Faculty at John F. Kennedy University and held various roles at the Pardee Foundation and Museum, Glessner House Museum/Chicago Architecture Foundation, and National Westminster Bank PLC.

Melissa Russo, CFRE, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA and a Master of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2021, they obtained the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification from CFRE International.
