Claire E. Stiglmeier

ESOL Education Coordinator

Claire E. Stiglmeier currently serves as the ESOL Education Coordinator at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, overseeing the implementation of the ESOL Opportunity Center for newly resettled refugees and immigrants. Additionally, Claire is the founder of Music for Migrants, which promotes healing through music for migrant children and refugees. Previous roles include Bilingual Education Coordinator and Education Coordinator at Together for Youth, where Claire coordinated educational support for unaccompanied migrant children, and Education Program Coordinator at Catholic Guardian Services, focusing on educational services for unaccompanied refugee minors. Claire’s extensive educational background includes multiple degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University, and SUNY Oneonta, with a focus on international and comparative education, elementary education, and Spanish language and literature.
