James Jones, Esq. has a diverse work experience in the tech and business industry. In 2014, they co-founded Court Buddy, a legaltech marketplace, and successfully sold it for $23 million in less than five years. During their time at Court Buddy, they focused on promoting diversity and inclusivity by appointing talented African-Americans to the company's Board of Directors and leadership positions.

James has also held various roles in mentoring and entrepreneurship. James was a mentor at 500 Startups and served as an Entrepreneur in Residence. Additionally, they co-founded Bump, an AI-driven fintech platform for small-medium sized creator businesses, at Connetic Ventures, Sunstone Management, and Long Beach Accelerator.

In 2023, James joined Forbes as a member of the Forbes Business Council, a prestigious organization for successful business owners and leaders. James was selected based on their business experience and achievements. James also became a member of the Newsweek Expert Forum.

Furthermore, James served as a Founder Mentor in the Black Ambition Fund portfolio, founded by Pharrell Williams. And in 2019, they were recognized as the Tech Entrepreneur of The Year by Black Enterprise Magazine.

Currently, James is the Co-Founder and CEO of UseBump.com, where they lead the development of an AI-driven fintech platform for virtual mentorship and revenue tracking for small-medium sized creator businesses.

James Jones, Esq. has a diverse education history, beginning with their enrollment at Winston-Salem State University from 1997 to 2002. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs.

Subsequently, in 2003, Jones attended the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where they completed their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. James remained at the university until 2006, gaining comprehensive legal knowledge and expertise.

In recent years, Jones pursued further education at the prestigious Harvard Business School, where they attended from 2018 to 2019. During this period, they earned an Executive MBA Certificate in Scaling Ventures, specializing in the field of Business Administration, Management, and Operations.
