Anjan Dey has extensive work experience in the steel industry, with notable positions at Usha Martin Ltd., JSW Steel Ltd, and Tata Steel. At Usha Martin Ltd., they held the role of Sr. Vice President (Iron Division) starting from May 2010. Prior to that, they were an Associate Vice President at JSW Steel Ltd, where they successfully commissioned the country's largest Blast Furnace. ANJAN also served as the Head of Technology Group in Ironmaking at JSW Steel. Anjan Dey began their career at Tata Steel in 1979, where they worked in Research & Development and Blast Furnace operations until February 2007.
Anjan Dey completed their Higher Secondary Examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths from Ramkrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, during the period from 1964 to 1970. Following that, they pursued a B.Tech and M.Tech degree in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, starting in 1970 and completing in 1977.
