Rion Shearer

Rion Shearer has extensive experience in the employee benefits sector, currently serving as a Partner and Employee Benefits Practice Leader at USI Insurance Services since May 2012, where growth and retention efforts in South Carolina are prioritized. As an Employee Benefits Problem Solver, Rion collaborates with proactive employers to develop long-term strategies that enhance employee engagement, reduce costs, and mitigate compliance risks. Additionally, Rion co-founded Benny Advantage LLC in June 2013, offering innovative employee benefit communication services, including the mobile app Benny Buddy. Prior experience includes roles at McGriff, Seibels & Williams as an Employee Benefits Broker and at Aetna as an Account Manager for National Accounts. Rion holds a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.
