Wesley Huey

Wesley Huey has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Wesley currently serves as the Executive Director of Strategic Communications at the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation, where they lead the development of comprehensive strategic communications plans. Prior to this, they worked as an Organizational Learning and Development Consultant and Partner at WE Partnerships Consulting LLC. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Director of Learning and Development at Skyline Technology Solutions, responsible for creating and implementing talent development processes. Wesley has also held significant positions at the U.S. Naval Academy, including Director of the Division of Leadership Education and Development and Chair of the Department of Leader Development and Research. Wesley has a background in academia, having pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Maryland College Park. Before that, they served as a Commanding Officer at Strike Fighter Squadron Three-Seven and as a Strike Operations Officer for Naval Forces Europe in the US Navy. Additionally, Wesley worked as a Naval Aide to the US President at the White House Military Office, focusing on continuity and crisis management.

Wesley Huey holds a Ph.D. in Sociology (with a focus on Social Psychology and Military Sociology) from the University of Maryland, which they obtained between 2006 and 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Executive MBA at Jacksonville University from 1995 to 1996. Their undergraduate degree, a BS in Oceanography, was earned at the United States Naval Academy from 1983 to 1987. In addition to their formal education, Wesley Huey also obtained the Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) certification from Training Industry, Inc. in January 2021.
