Peter Zielke

Peter Zielke is an experienced System Engineer at USNR since November 2014, specializing in technical support for sawmill optimization systems across North America and overseas, including software and hardware installation. Prior roles include Junior Manufacturing Engineer at Canada Metal (Pacific) Ltd, focusing on continuous improvement and project management, and a self-employed custom wood manufacturer. Peter also worked in summer positions as a cabin leader and kitchen volunteer at Camp Tulahead, as well as inside technical support at Smith Cameron Pump Solutions, where responsibilities included designing layouts for water purification systems and researching relevant technologies. Early career experience includes roles as a tree service ground crewman and a residential framer apprentice. Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Design from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, completed in 2011.
