Tammy Heiser, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in human resources and leadership roles. Tammy currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at USO, where they lead all areas of human resources and volunteer operations for a large, global non-profit organization. Tammy is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team and actively participates in strategic planning and cross-functional projects. Additionally, Tammy serves as a key staff liaison with Board Compensation and CEO Search Committees and is a full participant in quarterly Board of Governors meetings.

Prior to their current role, Tammy held the position of Vice President, Human Resources at GP Strategies Corporation. In this role, they provided advice and guidance to the CEO and President and was responsible for planning and executing various organization-wide initiatives. Tammy also oversaw all HR staff and functions for the multinational technical training, engineering, and consulting firm.

Before joining GP Strategies Corporation, Tammy worked at the U.S. Department of Energy as a Personnel Management Specialist. In this role, they provided high-level management with advice and guidance on various HR matters, including compensation, performance management, recruitment strategies, benefits administration, employee and labor relations, and career counseling. Tammy also played a key role in developing and managing a pilot personnel service center.

Tammy Heiser, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business with a focus on International Business from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, which they obtained from 1995 to 1998. Tammy also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech, earned between 1987 and 1991. Tammy has additional certifications including SHRM-SCP from SHRM, obtained in 2015, and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, obtained in 2009. Tammy has also completed the PropelNext Leadership Course from the Center for Creative Leadership and is a Change Management Professional certified by Prosci.
