Anita Szajek

Principal Scientific Liaison at U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention

Anita Szajek has over 20 years of work experience in the scientific and pharmaceutical industry. Anita is currently employed at the Center for Scientific Review (CSR) as a Scientific Review Officer since 2016. Prior to that, they worked at U.S. Pharmacopeia for 11 years, where they held various roles including Principal Scientific Liaison and Senior Scientific Liaison. At U.S. Pharmacopeia, they were responsible for monograph development, managing stakeholders, coordinating expert committee meetings, and representing the organization at conferences and events. Before joining U.S. Pharmacopeia, they worked at Human Genome Sciences as a Senior Scientist and at Antex Biologics as a Senior Scientist.

Anita Szajek holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry/Bioinorganic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Anita also obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
