Christian Heiss

Christian Heiss is an accomplished public health professional currently serving as the Executive Director of the Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund since April 2019, where responsibilities include leading efforts to provide financial support to New Jersey families facing the challenges of their child's serious illness. In addition, Christian serves as a Health Services Officer in the Ready Reserve of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service, enhancing national and global health emergency responses. Previous roles include Health Policy Director for Nurse-Family Partnership, Senior Program Officer at the Center for Health Care Strategies, Inc., and various positions in policy and project management within health plans. Christian's military background includes serving as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy and a Strategic Plans Officer with the Multi-National Transition Command in Iraq. Educational achievements include a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, an MPH from Brown University School of Public Health, and an adjunct instructor role at Rider University.
