Ijeoma Perry, MS, MPH, FAC COR II, is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in national health security, biodefense, and equity initiatives. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since February 2022, Ijeoma provides policy expertise and advocates for national climate and equity initiatives. Previous roles include Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service, and various positions within the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where Ijeoma led efforts in public health preparedness and the effective use of medical countermeasures. Ijeoma's academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from Emory University and a Master of Science in Infectious Diseases and Immunology from The University of Georgia, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
