Lauren P. Davidson, DVM, MS, DACLAM, has extensive experience in veterinary medicine, currently serving as a Captain in the Veterinary Category with the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since 2004. In addition to this role, Lauren has been the Animal Program Director at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research since June 2011 and previously worked as a Clinical Veterinarian at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development from September 2006 to June 2011. Lauren's early career included roles at the National Institutes of Health as a Resident in Laboratory Animal Medicine and as the Chief Veterinarian for the Large Animal Unit at FDA CBER. Lauren began the professional journey as an Associate Veterinarian at Dupont Veterinary Clinic. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida, a Master's Degree in Comparative and Laboratory Animal Medicine from the Uniformed Services University, and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cornell University.
