Retired Usphs Physician Assistant at USPHS Commissioned Corps

Phil Lafleur is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public health and consumer safety roles. Currently serving as a Retired USPHS Physician Assistant at the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since June 2019, Phil also holds the position of Consumer Safety Officer at the FDA since January 2012, focusing on reviewing medical device inspections. Previously, Phil worked as a Consumer Safety Officer for the US Department of Health and Human Services from December 2008 to January 2012, and as a Senior Physician Assistant at the Federal Bureau of Prisons from August 1999 to December 2008, where treatment for inmates' acute medical issues was provided. Early career experience includes working as a self-employed paint contractor from June 1985 to August 1999. Phil holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in Correctional Medicine from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor's in Physician Assistant from Trevecca Nazarene University, along with a Bachelor's in Social Science from the University of North Dakota.
