George Best

George Best is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Administrative Patent Judge at the US Patent and Trademark Office since February 2012. Prior to this role, George was a board member at Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto, where involvement focused on providing legal assistance to local citizens. Additionally, George contributed as a member of the Visiting Committee at the University of Chicago Law School, advising on curriculum and faculty matters. With a strong background in intellectual property litigation as a partner at Foley & Lardner LLP, George has extensive experience in patent litigation phases, including Federal Circuit appeals. George's legal career began as a law clerk for the Hon. Randall R. Rader at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School, a PhD in Chemistry from Caltech, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.
