Joanne Hoffman

Joanne Hoffman has been a Supervisory Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office since October 2014, previously serving as a Primary Patent Examiner and Patent Examiner. Prior to this role, Joanne gained experience as a Post-baccalaureate IRTA Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, focusing on machine learning and image processing in radiology. Additional experience includes a position as a Junior Editor for the Journal of Ecological Anthropology, and roles as an Assistant Teacher in Anthropology at Lehigh University, a Research Intern at Drexel University, and a Youth Delegate for the World Corrosion Organization at the United Nations. Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Lehigh University, along with a student exchange at the University of Nottingham.
