Kevin Sylvester

Kevin Sylvester is a seasoned professional in the field of materials engineering and chemistry, currently serving as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO since May 2024. Prior to this role, Kevin worked as a Senior Materials Engineer at ESTAT Actuation from August 2022 to December 2023, where responsibilities included managing a formulation and application lab for conductive and dielectric inks in electrostatic devices. Kevin's extensive experience at PPG Industries spanned a decade, with various roles focusing on IP management, battery electrode formulation, and the development of corrosion-resistant coatings. Kevin began their career as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at Princeton University, investigating nickel-catalyzed Suzuki reactions. Kevin holds a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry from Cornell University, complemented by an MS in Chemistry from the same institution and a BS in Chemistry from Ursinus College.
