Mike Barry

Mike Barry currently serves as an Administrative Patent Judge at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) since August 2015. Prior experience includes roles as Patent Counsel at General Patent Corporation, and President of WestCove LLC, where Mike provided IP-related business consulting. As Vice President of Licensing at Pachira IP, Inc., responsibilities included patent licensing and IP consulting in various technology sectors. Mike's earlier career encompasses positions such as VP of Intellectual Property & General Patent Counsel at AmberWave Systems, General Counsel at TARGUSinfo, and Patent Counsel at Samsung Electronics. Initial professional experience includes an engineering role at McDonnell Douglas and legal work as an Associate in the IP department at Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Mike holds a JD, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law, as well as a BSCE and MSEE from Washington University in St. Louis.
