Laura Fies

Laura Fies is an accomplished museum professional with extensive experience in leadership and operations at the USS Hornet Sea, Air and Space Museum. Since September 2011, Laura has served in various roles, including Executive Director, Chief Operations Officer, and Director of Collections & Exhibitions, overseeing the museum's collections, exhibitions, and operational activities. With a background in graphic design, Laura has significantly contributed to exhibition development, ensuring cohesive narratives and engaging displays. Previously, Laura held positions such as Community Affairs Director at The W Foundation and interned at the Bade Museum of Biblical Archaeology. Laura holds a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from the University of California, Davis.
