Michael J. Carter has a long and varied work experience. Michael J. began their career in 2006 as a Men's Suits, Shirts and Ties Sales Associate at Nordstrom. In 2007, they were an Intern at QuestBridge and a Teacher at The Breakthrough Collaborative. In 2008, they were an Intern at Storm Ventures and Cellfire. In 2009, they were an Intern for Resident Scholar and Director of Education Policy Rick Hess at the American Enterprise Institute and a Global Diversity and Talent Inclusion Intern at Google. In 2011, they were a Fellow at Echoing Green. From 2007 to 2012, they were the Founder, President, and CEO of Strive For College. Since 2012, they have been the Founder & CEO of UStrive.
