Joe Lopez

Joe Lopez, PE, currently serves as the Director of Energy Conservation and Sr. Electrical Engineer at UT Health San Antonio since June 2017. Prior to this role, Joe worked as the Sr. Energy Manager at H-E-B from July 1994 to March 2017. Joe's career began at Emil Swize and Associates as a Graduate Engineer, where design work for lighting, electrical distribution systems, and fire alarm systems for commercial buildings was undertaken. Additionally, Joe gained valuable experience as a Graduate Engineer at Houston Lighting and Power, focusing on transmission voltage products and standards. Joe holds an MBA in Business from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
